ABOUT POLAR
Polar was founded in 2013 to operate in the transport sector in the north of Mozambique. Headquartered in Nampula, we service customers nationwide with additional facilities in Pemba, Beira and Maputo.
Polar Lda is one of the leading freight transport companies in northern Mozambique. We operate in the transport equipment and rental sectors with an initial fleet of 20 trucks and 19 pieces of equipment (cranes, telehandlers, levellers and bulldozers). Once the Nacala-Porto and Tete railroad line projects ended Polar decided to focus exclusively on transportation.
We are constantly growing and renewing our fleet of trucks and increasing the competence of our workers. In 2016 the fleet was reinforced with 22 special weldecks for the transport of beverages and 20 more trucks.
In 2018 the fleet acquired 10 more trucks to cope with market demand as
well as 10 Interlink trailers and 4 flatbeds custom made for the transport of pipes. 8 Trucks, 3 Stepdecks, 9 Interlinkes and 5 Tippers are the newcomers for 2019.
In these 9 years of activity Polar has grown, steadily and sustainably, and now has more than 85 workers and more than 60 trucks and 80 trailers.
